Question:
Im towing a 2500 lb 14 ft trailer with a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder. Even with 30 lbs of air in rear shock balloons the front feels a bit floaty above 55 mph. What do you suggest? Is it safe to use a light weight WDH or would that damage the uni body car frame?

Hey Donna, great question! Yes, it is safe to use a WDH with your 2019 Nissan Pathfinder. Nissan actually recommends it if you're towing a trailer that weighs more than 5,000 lbs. Is the weight of the trailer 2,500 lbs fully loaded or empty? This is important to make sure the system is properly rated.
More than likely you can use the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0600. This has a tongue weight range of 250 lbs - 600 lbs. Assuming you're properly loaded your tongue weight should be at 10-15% of the loaded trailer weight putting you in that range. Anything you're carrying behind your rear axle in the Pathfinder counts as tongue weight as well. You will also need # A-90 for a 2" ball or # C40030 for a 2-5/16" ball along with # ALL643216 for hitch ball installation.
What kind of trailer do you have? If you have any other questions, or if you have a different overall weight/tongue weight let me know in the comments below.

Thanks Robin. My trailer is a 2013 14' Jayco XLT. At the ODOT scales it weighed in at 2500 lbs.
