Does Rhino Rack Offer a Roof Rack Option for a 2025 Ford Escape with Flush Rails

Updated 03/18/2026 | Published 03/16/2026

Question:

Hello, I recently changed vehicles and I appreciate Rhino Rack products. I had a 2018 Ford Focus Electric equipped with the following products: - Mounting kit: rhdk307 - Feet: rhrlkva foot kit for 2500 roof bars - Roof bars: Vortex 50 black va126b I now own a 2025 Ford Escape PHEV with a sunroof I would like to use the sunroof even though I have roof bars and side rails the installation wouldnt be directly on the top of the doors as I have standard roof rails. Could you provide me with a list of the necessary parts? Is it possible to reuse some parts I already own? I tested the lenght of my vortex and they are okay and I have space, and is there a fit kit for my escape with rail on it so I can keep my 2500 leg. Do you also sell spacers to increase the gap between the sunroof and the roof bars If I have to go with the SX series or I dont need spacers? THANKS You

Hello Adams, I really appreciate how thorough you’ve been here, that makes a big difference when trying to get a clean, quiet setup without wasting money on the wrong parts.

The short answer is you won't be abe to reuse any of the components from your Rhino Rack system. The flush rails on your Ford Escape changes the mounting system completely compared to your old Focus with a naked roof. Because of that, Rhino Rack does not offer a fit that lets you reuse your 2500 legs or the DK307 fit kit, since those are designed for door frame mounting and won’t attach to flush rails. It's a bummer you can't reuse your bars, I know it's not ideal.

The best value option I recommend for your Escape is the Inno Aero Roof Rack for Flush Rails, part # IN24DR It’s designed specifically for flush rails like yours, installs cleanly, and has been a really solid, quiet setup for a lot of Escape owners. It also sits at a height that works well with sunroof use, so spacers usually aren’t needed. Although we do not recommend opening the sunroof with the bars on because it can be very loud. I attached a review from another customer with a Ford Escape like yours.

What are you planning to carry first on your Escape, kayaks, a cargo box, or something else?
