The SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack # SR1010 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback so long as it does not have any existing roof side rails or crossbars (in other words as long as it has what we call a naked roof).
This sturdy cost-effective rack employs 50-inch square crossbars that offer excellent compatibility with a broad range of rack-mount accessories such as bike or kayak carriers and cargo boxes. This rack includes locks to secure it to your vehicle. Installation is shown in the linked video on a 2009 model year Mazda 3.
Before loading any cargo it is suggested that you refer to your vehicle owner's manual for any guidance as to roof weight capacity. Your Mazda 3 may have a different weight capacity than this rack (130-lbs maximum for the rack itself). Be sure to not exceed the weight capacity for the vehicle or rack.
