is this really a totally hidden hitch that fits my X3??

Hey Mark, yes the Draw Tite Hidden Hitch part # DT56GR that you referenced is a totally hidden hitch that fits your 2026 BMW X3. When not in use you can remove the lower hitch opening and it would be totally invisible. Are you planning on doing some towing?

@Mark right on! you will need trailer wiring too then which for that we have the Tekonsha part # TK54ZR which will give you a 4-way.

Not sure about the 2026 but I like the one I installed for my 2018. The foot wave for hatch opening still works. The light harness works. And it’s totally hidden when not in use. Only down side is that the car goes crazy when you back up. Just have to turn off camera when backing. Michael

Yes, all sensors and the foot wave hatch sensor also still work. The twist-to-lock mechanism got a bit sticky after 4 years of driving through New England mud, snow, salt and rain but just cleaning it with WD40 worked wonders, like new again.
