When connected display lights up. Was wondering if it can be shut off, I am concerned about running down the battery?

Hi Stephen!
The screen on the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 will light up when it is active and/or senses motion. It does automatically shut off after 15 to 20 minutes of complete stillness. There isn't a way to just turn it off when you are at your final destination though.
I suppose you could use something like the JR Products Single Rocker Switch - 12V - On/Off - SPST - Black Plate with Red Illuminated Switch # 37212525 as a kill switch for the black power wire. You would just have to find somewhere to mount it and make sure you turn it back to the on side before setting off. Otherwise, you know, no brake controller.
Have you let it sit motionless for a while to see if it shut off? Like do not touch your truck or anything.
