Question:
Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle I’m looking at this product for my 2006 f350 and I was wondering if this would still fit if I don’t have a 5th wheel. I don’t mind doing a few modifications to my truck but just wondering. Thank you

Hey Wyatt. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs item # AL57291, will definitely fit your 2006 Ford F-350. The tech tip about these air bags being compatible with specific B&W gooseneck hitches is just there so people who have in bed hitches know what works together.
The Air Lift item # AL57291 have a 5,000 lbs capacity that will level out the rear end of your F-350 when you are towing a trailer or carrying a heavy load in the bed. All mounting brackets and hardware are included for installation. This kit is compatible with both the 2WD and 4WD models of the 2006 F-350.
We made an installation video, that I have linked below that shows how to get these air springs installed.
Please note that the Air Lift item # AL57291 requires drilling into the frame of your F-350 to be installed. If you do not want to drill into your truck we have two comparable options that I have listed below. Which one you need will depend on whether your truck is a 2WD or 4WD.
2WD - Air Lift item # AL57397
4WD - Air Lift item # AL88398
I also recommend adding the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System item # AL25592 to your truck. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI from a gauge inside your truck.

Hey Wyatt, how did the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 air springs work out on your F-350 without the 5th wheel setup? It’d be great to hear if the fit and ride quality met your expectations. Your update could make it easier for others setting up their trucks the same way.
