The distance from the rear edge of the 5 foot 8 inch bed in your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 will be 25-1/8 inches. The rails are 22 inches apart measured on center, so to determine where the rear edge of the bed rail would sit you would first need to measure 25-1/8 inches from the rear of the truck bed and then measure forward an additional 22 inches.
