Hey Connor, thanks for reaching out!

The Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16429-104 is for an older GM truck so it won't fit your Dodge Ram.

For your application we need to get you setup with the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP30035. Since there aren't any custom options for your older truck we'll have to do with the universal style which really just means you'll have to do some drilling through your truck frame for the brackets to fit properly.

One other thing I like to toss out there is the Hopkins Wiring # HM42137 so you can have a 7-Way socket in your truck bed for easier access.

Do you have a 5th wheel hitch yet?

Hey Connor, how did things go with the Reese universal base rails on your Ram? Were the brackets able to line up well after drilling through the frame? Your update could make it easier for the next person working with an older truck.

@Connor If you don't already have a 5th wheel hitch then I recommend picking up the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Turnoverball # BW63QR. According to the instructions the gooseneck brackets don't require drilling, and the Companion hitch fits directly to the gooseneck receiver. It's different than the traditional bed rails, but it's a great alternative setup.
