Is Manual Handcrank Spreader Going To Work As Good As Battery Operated Spreader?

Question:
I saw another brand that has a battery-powered handheld spreader. What’s the advantage of the crank style on the ME83FR?

Bill, that’s a sharp question. The big perk of Meyer’s hand-crank # ME83FR design is reliability - no batteries to die mid-storm, and you control the output speed in real time. The gearing is smooth enough that one hand can turn easily, even with gloves on. Plus, fewer electrical parts mean less to corrode from salt exposure.
Would you be using it mostly in freezing temps or for fertilizer later on?
