Question:
I have installed a tekonsha 118585 trailer light kit to my 2010 ford Transit van. Works great. The van spends most of its time on a tow dolley behind my motorhome. Can I add a Hobkins 38955 diode 4 way flat wiring harness so that the turn/stop lights and tail lights can be connected to the motor home,? Currently using magnetic tow lights . Not much fun having to hook and unhook each time. Thank you. David.

Hey David, it's great to hear from you again!
You can use the Hopkins 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit # 38955, but I honestly like the diodes that come in the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit # RM-154 better. The Roadmaster diodes are just more durable and have better connections than any other diode kit on the market, so I just feel more ease with them.
I know the price difference is a bit much, but it's really up to you which wiring kit you want to go with.
What are you thinking?

Hey David, how did things go with wiring your Transit to the motorhome using the diode kit? Your setup could really help others looking to move away from magnetic tow lights. Sharing what worked might guide the next person doing the same upgrade.
