Question:
Will these still charge if they’re partly shaded most of the day?

Olivia, they’ll still pick up some charge in partial shade, but you’ll notice shorter run times at night more than likely. If possible, place them where they’ll get at least a few hours of direct sunlight in the afternoon. Even just moving them a few feet can make a big difference. All that being said, if it has partial shade/sunlight most of the day, it should give enough light for the first few hours of darkness while you're hanging outside.
We have this in a lighter stone design Cobblestone # PT69RR, and also a darker speckled design Sandstone # PT79RR.
Do you have some flexibility in where you set them up, or are you locked into a shaded path?
