Does The Thule Caprock Platform Require Crossbars For A 2025 Honda Pilot TrailSport?

Hi, I bought a new 2025 Honda pilot trailsport edition. It came with the standard factory side rails for that year and edition, but no cross bars. Well this attachment fit on the side rails or does it require cross bars?

Hi Liz, nice car! I have been looking at Hondas lately and am thinking about getting a Pilot at the end of the year or early next.
Anyway, as to your question, I wasn't sure so I asked my contact over at Thule. The Caprock Platform Roof Tray - 59" Long x 52-3/8" Wide # TH58YE will need to have crossbars for it to work with your 2025 Pilot TrailSport. We do have what you need for that though:
Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack for Raised Rails - Aluminum - Black - Qty 2 # TH52ZA
This clamps onto those factory raised rails quickly and easily and then the Caprock attaches to those quickly and easily with the Crossbar Adapters for Thule Caprock Roof Rack Platforms - Qty 4 # TH53YE. Everything is quick and easy! : )
