Question:
I have 3 kids and so we usually have 5 bikes. I was thinking of mounting 2 to the roof. We just bought new camper, so need to come up with a new plan as our old camper had a roof rack that held all 5 bikes. So if I got the swagman straddler, It says it holds 100lbs. Then when you add a bike rack, was looking at the Yakima long haul. Is that 100 lb limit, including bikes and rack, or is it 100 pounds rack?

Hey Joshua, the Swagman Straddler part # S80503 has an overall 100 lb weight capacity which means the weight of the bike rack plus the weight of the bikes.
The Yakima LongHaul part # Y02476 has a total weight of 32 lbs so you'd have 68 lbs left for the bikes. Whats the weight of the bikes you'd carry on this rack?

Hey Joshua, did you have a chance to weigh your bikes to see if they fit within the 68 lbs limit for the Swagman Straddler and Yakima LongHaul combo? I'm asking because knowing how it worked out for you could help others in a similar situation.
