Question:
Can I chain two BaseCharge units together for more capacity?
asked by: Paul
Expert Reply:
BioLite doesn’t recommend chaining BaseCharge units together, Paul. If you need more capacity, it’s better to step up to the 1500w+ # BL83ZR from the 600w+ # BL23ZR or supplement with additional solar/battery systems. BioLite makes a 100w solar panel kit # BL97ZR that would work great to keep either of the power stations topped off throughout the day.
What’s your ideal run time between charges? That’ll help us figure out if a larger unit or a solar add-on makes more sense for your setup.
