Does Trailer Wiring for 2017 Ford Escape Drain Battery

Question:
RE: 2017 Ford Escape SE 2.0L, does this module/harness cause a parasitic drain on the battery. since its connected directly? Or is it only a pass through device when the lights are used? Also, what makes the SE model specific, that the Curt version wont work?

Hey Bob, if there isn't a trailer connected with the taillights on the Tekonsha harness part # 118715 would not draw on the battery at all so there would be nothing to worry about in that regard. Worth mentioning is this harness is currently on back order so if you wanted something similar that is available we have the Curt # C56320.

Hey Bob, did you end up going with the Curt harness since the Tekonsha one was on back order? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others in a similar situation.
