Hey Robert, welcome back! The Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit item # RP30035 does not fit your new 2025 GMC Sierra 1500.
Instead you'll want the Curt Custom 5th Wheel Bracket Kit item # C95KR. These are custom fit brackets that install in pre-drilled holes in your Sierra's frame.
I recommend purchasing the Curt Universal 5th Wheel Base Rails item # C16204. There's been issues trying to pair up different manufacturer's rails and brackets.
What kind of trailer do you have?
To make towing with a 5th wheel easier, I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness item # C58FV. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
