Jensen JWM6A Flashing on and off When The TV is on

Question:
I have a Jensen JMW6A radio in my RV that is now flashing on and off when the TV is on. The entire unit flashes on and off. No sound through my speakers. When I turn off the television all the backlights on the Jensen stay on. Any suggestions on what I need to do to fix the problem? Does the Jensen radio need to be replaced? Thanks for your help. Thanks for reaching out, Mike!
Is it possible that the model that you have is a JWM6A? If so I was able to find some troubleshooting information. I included a snip but will also put what to test below as well.
If you are not getting sounds here are a few things to check:
- Verify Volume, Fader/Balance, Mute controls are set correctly (see
owner’s manual).
- Try the reset button.
- Verify proper speaker selection.
- Verify proper speaker connections
- Check for shorts or open circuits on speaker wires.
• If short on “A” channel, “B & C” channels will continue to function.
• If short on “B and/or C” channels, “A” channel will continue to function.
Some of these steps may seem a bit "I've tried that already" but I wanted to include them so you had all the information. I'm also not 100% sure where the restart button is, there wasn't any information other than that you can use a ball point pen or a thin metal object to press the restart button.
If none of those things get the JWM6A back up and working, it may be time to start looking at getting a replacement. The model that replaced the JWM6A is # JWM60A.
If anything else pops up that you want me to look into for the JWM6A, let me know and I can see if I can find any more info for you.
