To spread out the weight of a roof top tent. Was recommended to do this. These racks are flat and zero contour - correct ?

@John that makes sense, definitely a good idea if you have the space for the bars. There is a slight arch on the rubber but that would flatten out with weight on it. These are great for roof tents.
