Will Prodigy P3 Turn Off When Truck is Turned Off

Question:
Once the truck is turned off the display on the controller remains on. Should it go off or go to sleep? If not, is there a way to turn the display off?

Hey Janet! The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # TK99HR you ordered and installed will go to sleep after 15 minutes if it does not detect the vehicle moving. When that happens the display will turn off. It does draw a tiny amount of power at all times to store the settings. However, this isn't enough to drain the batter unless you have the vehicle sitting for and extended period of time. The only way to completely pull the power from the brake controller is to pull the plug.

Hey Janet, did the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 go to sleep as expected after 15 minutes, or did you need to unplug it? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others with similar setups.
