Updated 09/04/2025 | Published 06/25/2025

Question:

Looking for the whole porch light setup. Want amber lens. Right now it takes the 1156 bulb. Need white housing. Its wired, so dont need on/off switch. What do you have to fit on this description? Let me know pricing also. Thank you.

Hello Cindy,

We do have the RV Porch Utility Light - Incandescent - Oval - White Housing - Amber Lens # RVPL5A it comes with a 1141 bulb which is not as bright as the 1156 bulb you are used to. The 1141 and the 1156 both have the BA15s base, so you could swap out the bulb to the brighter one.

What kind of camper is this going on? Any big adventures planned for the near future?

Hey Cindy, Did you end up swapping the bulb in the porch light to the brighter one? I'm curious to know how it worked out for your camper setup. If you're still looking for a solution, I'm happy to help.

@Kate F We ended up buying a different camper before we had a chance to put it in. So I don't know. We still have the part and the camper we have now doesn't have this type of light so it is useless right now for us.

@CindyT Well that is one way to not have to do the work to swap out, buy a new camper =) What kind of camper did you go with, and where did you take it for the first trip?

@KateF I definitely wasn't ready for trading it off. It was the best camper we've ever owned and I wanted to keep it. We went with a jayco 28rb.
