Question:

I have a 2022 RX450HL. Will the DT58GR and wiring harnes fit my vehicle? I also have the kick sensor that opens the tail gate will it funtion when the hidaway part is removed from the hitch? Thanks Michael

Hey Michael,

The Hidden Hitch # DT58GR is not a confirmed fit for your Lexus RX459HL. We currently do not offer any hitches for that vehicle. I took a look around and it looks like Lexus is the only one that has a hitch for the RX450HL, there are no after market custom fit hitches.

In terms of the wiring, we do have a Tekonsha wiring kit for that vehicle that is a simple plug and play installation. For the wiring kit I recommend # 119250KIT. That is a confirmed fit for your vehicle.

Ok this is crazy. I just did a google search and found the 2022 rx450h and rx 450hl use the same hitches. "Yes, the 2022 Lexus RX 450h and 450hL models use the same tow hitch. Both the standard RX 450h and the extended-length RX 450hL (L for long) are built on the same platform and share the same chassis and underpinnings, including the mounting points for the tow hitch. Therefore, a tow hitch designed for one will fit the other." If this is true would the DT58GR hitch work do you think??? R/S Michael

@Michael There is a chance it will work, I just cannot guarantee. I believe that the 450HL still has some differences in the chassis and bumper that would cause it not to fit, that is why there is not one. I recommend reaching out to Lexus for a guaranteed fit on that vehicle.
