Hi J; there are no custom options but the Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist # 74211 you were looking at will fit your 2000 Dodge Dakota. It isn't specifically listed for Dakota models but it is a universal application so it is compatible. Drilling will be required for installation.
