Does My Atwood Water Heater G6A-7 Use An Anode Rod?

We have a Atwood hot water heater dose it use an Anode rod, Model G6A-7 Serial 9620201667879 Thank you for your help

Hey Vickie,

Since Atwood is no longer in business I did some digging on your model number. Your specific model water heater, G6A-7, does not use an anode rod. That water heater uses an aluminum tank which naturally are corrosion resistant so that rod is not needed. Some other heaters need one depending on what the tank is made out of to keep it from rusting.

Were you needing to replace yours, or just looking for some more information on it?
