Will Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch Fit 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon EcoDiesel

Question:
Will the front receiver hitch fit a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Eco Diesel model? Can or will the steel skid plate require total / permanent removal? If the steel skid plate remains in place, does it need any modifications? Thank you!

Hey Mike! The Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch # 65079 will fit your 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon EcoDiesel. The skid plate will need to be removed or modified to install the hitch. This will require cutting the skid plate if you choose to keep it on. I'm sorry to say there are no available instructions for this so it will be up to you to figure it out. We know customers have successfully modified the skid plate to keep it on with the hitch so it is definitely doable. Are you planning on adding a winch or something else?

OK, understood Robin. Thankyou. If I do install a winch, it will be receiver hitch mounted. I did have this thought though - the Rubicon model front air deflector plate is steel. So, I'd remove that entirely, unmodified, and store it for if/when I sell the vehicle. However, all the other JL models use a PLASTIC front air deflector. So my plan would be to purchase a used PLASTIC air deflector (E-Bay?) and modify that to suit the tow hitch. Much easier to modify, cut, and achieve a near factory finish.
