Do You Have the Turret for the Reese 5th Airborne Rotating Pin Box?

Updated 10/23/2025 | Published 04/07/2025

Question:

I am interested in purchasing the RP34FR Sidewinder pin box for my 2021 Heritage Glen 378FL to help with the turn issue in my 2024 F350 with a 6.75foot bed. However, Id like the upgraded version 5AS16K with the air ride. It does not look like I can order the rotating turret that fits the upgraded pin box without buying the entire RP34FR and then buying the 5AS16K, is that accurate? Is there no way to get this item with the rotating turret it needs to mount on a camper?

Hey Chad! I am sorry but we do not have any of the Reese Sidewinder's that come with the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin with Sidewinder item # 5AS16K. These have been out of stock for quite some time now. You may be able to find one online but our only option is to purchase the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret item # RP34FR and install the item # 5AS16K separately.

Hey Chad, did you end up finding the 5th Airborne Air Ride King Pin with the Sidewinder setup you wanted for your Heritage Glen and F350? Knowing what worked could help others trying to solve the same turning issue.

@JerredH Actually I did. I found a used Sidewinder Airborne locally that I installed on my 5th wheel. To be honest, if I ever purchase another truck, I'm likely going back to an 8' bed, as I would much prefer to use a gooseneck adapter in order to keep the hardware in the truck to a minimum, but for the time being, the sidewinder pin box lets us turn a complete 90 degrees from the camper and have no worries of contact. It's a bigger pain to hitch up, and requires more maintenance, but those are the sacrifices to have a shorter bed.

@ChadD Glad you got it sorted out. Your reasoning makes complete sense and we've got quite a few gooseneck pin boxes when you're ready to upgrade trucks. If/when you make that decision, feel free to email me a picture of the sticker on your pin box and I'll find out what bolt pattern you have. With that I can get you a recommendation on the right gooseneck pin box.
