Solution for Saris Freedom Bike Rack with Short Hitch Pin with 2024 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

I have a Saris Freedom 2 bike rack. I recently bought a 2024 Toyota Tacoma. With the redesign of the hitch in the 2024 model, the non locking threaded hitch pin for my Saris is now too short. Is there a longer version of the Saris hitch pin or can you point me in the direction of a solution.

Hey James, I wish we had a longer hitch pin bolt but thats not something we offer at this time. Do any of the threads reach though? Or is it a situation where it's just not long enough to run the cotter pin through it? If it's just a pin issue I would just run it without the cotter pin.
