What Gen-Y Gooseneck Pin Box For 2024 Jayco Eagle 321 RSTS With Lippert Rhino Box

Question:
Im attempting to find the right hitch to change from our Rhino Box to a Gen Y Gooseneck. We have a 2024 Jayco Eagle 321 RSTS. The GVWR is 12,900. Jayco says they will not advise aftermarket alterations, so Im not getting help there. Can you help?

Hey Leigh, thanks for reaching out. I can definitely help with this. The correct Gen-Y goosebox for you is the following:
- Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Auto Latch - Lippert Rhino - 21K GTW - 3.5K TW # GY98GR
This replaces the Lippert Rhino box, and will be the correct model based on your GVWR.
A lot of trailer manufacturers only "approve" their OEM pin boxes, so we hear this complaint a lot. Some models will even void your frame warranty if the pin box is replaced. Absolutely do not let this discourage you from buying one though. The Gey-Y pin boxes absorb shock, so in most cases they will actually put less stress on the frame than the OEM pin boxes. I have yet to hear a single complaint about one of these, and I have not heard of any frame issues arising as a result of the switch.
