Can Trailer Wiring and Tow Bar Wiring Both Install on 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question:
I have a customers 2019 Grand Cherokee here and I did not know that he has it rigged to tow behind his motorhome. It has the plug and play harness plugged into the rear taillights of the Jeep. I am installing the tow hitch for the rear to tow a trailer and the trailer plug harness from you but not sure if it is ok for me to splice the two harnesses together since I cant plug it in in line with the front tow harness. Thanks

Hey Ryan, yes you can have the trailer wiring and the tow bar wiring plugged in at same time on your customers 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. For wiring you'd want the Tekonsha part # 118727 as it's got the most reliable converter box.

Hey Ryan, how did things go with the Tekonsha wiring on your customer’s Grand Cherokee? Did having both harnesses connected work out the way you needed? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar tow setup.
