Question:

Am considering ordering this bike rack for the back of my 2024 Forest River Geo Pro which has a factory frame mounted 2” receiver. I need to carry two e-bikes. Both have 26” tires, one has 4” wide tires. In some of the reviews I see the complaints were the tire saddles were not big enough for 4” or 5” tires. Does this current version come with the wider cradles to fit my bikes or will I need to purchase the wider cradles as some reviewers have complained about? Also, my wife’s bike is a step through. Should I order the adapter bar? Thank you.

Hey Mark! The Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack # S94FR can accommodate tires up to 5" wide so your 4" wide tires won't be an issue. We actually had someone say they're almost too wide for smaller tires if that helps put your mind at ease. Wider cradles will not be necessary.

As far as the adapter bar is concerned, it really depends on the design of the bike. More than likely it won't be necessary. If you look at the pictures below you will see two different designs where they were able to secure the bikes with the hooks. If I were you I would try it without. You can always pick up an adapter like the Swagman Bike Frame Adapter Bar # S57FR after if you find that you need it.

Hey Mark, how did the Swagman E-Spec rack work out on your Geo Pro with those 4-inch tires? Were you able to load both e-bikes securely without needing the adapter bar? Your experience could help others figuring out a similar setup.
