Will this work in a saltwater environment? if not, do you have a recommendation that will in the 5 inch non-marking roller? Thank you.

Yes, it will. The CE Smith Spool Roller Assembly for Boat Trailers item # CE10451G are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped, which creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. The zinc coating will eventually break-down so it is recommended to spray the salt water off to slow the process.

Hey, how has the CE Smith spool roller held up in the saltwater so far? It’d be great to know if rinsing it after use has helped slow down the zinc coating wear. Your update could make it easier for others using their trailers in saltwater.
