Rear Clearance Behind Opening for Advent Air Low Profile AC Unit

Question:

What clearance is required to the rear? From rear edge of 14 X 14 opening in roof to rear of roof unit?

Hey John, so the distance behind the opening of the Advent Air Low Profile # ASA49YR to the rear of the unit measures 14-7/8 inches. See attached picture.

Jameson, thank you. Please, one more measurement request. For the inside the rv air distribution box, how many inches clearance is needed on the ceiling from the edge of the 14 X 14 vent hole to the edge of the air distribution box? Front, rear, left, and right? Thank you.

@John The overall dimensions of the air distribution box is 22-1/2" long x 21-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall. The vent opening is up in the corner but I don't have the exact dimensions of where in relation to the vent hole. Do you have limited space on interior as well?

@JamesonC my limitation inside on the ceiling is 3 inches behind the 14 X 14 vent square is a ceiling light fixture. If the air distribution box is centered on the 14 X 14 vent then it seems I would need more than 4 inches to the rear, which I don’t have unless I can move the light. However, if the air distribution box is not centered on the 14 X 14 square, then there may be hope.

@JohnB There's a very thin side on the front of the opening but on the back the bulk of the assembly is there so if there's a fixture just behind the opening this won't work.
