When towing, the trailer should always be as level as possible. A level trailer will put less strain on the connection between the trailer and hitch. It will also help the trailer stay in line behind the vehicle. I have attached a couple of helpful articles that you can check out that explains towing and how to measure to make certain you get the correct ball mount.
After you have taken your measurements you can check out the attached link for the ball mounts we offer. Use the menu on the left of the page to find the ball mount that best serves your purpose and has the correct rise or drop.
For example if you are looking for a ball mount that fits a 2 inch hitch and want either a 1 inch rise or 2 inch drop you would first choose 2 inch hitch on the left of the page. Then choose either the Gross Towing Weight (GTW) size or Class size to find ball mounts to choose from. If you choose 12,000 lbs you can then use the menu on the left to select a Rise of 1 inch. Depending on the length you need you would have a choice of part # 4280 or part # 4284.
If you want to take the measurements and want to send me the information, I would be glad to make a recommendation that would work for you.
