2007 Honda Ridgeline Trailer Wiring Recommendation

Updated 03/30/2026 | Published 01/12/2025

Question:

I have a factory plug under my truck and I’m pretty sure I can just buy a harness that will allow me to connect a trailer can you help me with this?

Hey Ryan,

I took a look into it, but I'm not seeing a factory plug listed out for your 2007 Honda Ridgeline. If you can possibly test the pins to find out their functions and shoot me some photos of where you found the plug I'd be more than happy to take another look into this!

To add a 4-Way flat trailer wiring plug to your Ridgeline I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118400. This tees in behind your taillights so you aren't splicing into factory wires on your truck.

Hey Ryan, what ended up happening with the wiring on your Ridgeline? Did the T-One harness connect the way you needed? Your update could make it easier for others working on the same setup.

I have a 4 pin plug under my dash of my 2007 ridgeline. They tell me I need a brake controller for my small travel trailer but I’m not sure. I don’t have a plug at the back bumper. What wiring do I need to the back bumper from the 4 pin under the dash. Cheapest way possible. Thanks

@TonyG do you have a 7-way at the rear? You must have some kind of connector, at least a 4-way for the trailer lights. The Curt TriFlex NEXT # C45GV would be the best option if you have the tow package. This comes with a custom wiring harness and is a proportional brake controller. You can cut the cost down further with a time-delayed brake controller like # C76YV but I recommend spending a little extra for the proportional controller so you get smoother braking that matches the vehicle.
