I was somewhat concerned that the total weight I've added to my Trail Blazer with the addition of the tow bar, trailer hitch, and base-plate may impact the towing capacity of my vehicle. According to the manual, this vehicle only has a GCWR of 4,695 lbs with a trailer towing limit of 1,000 lbs. I have weighed the car and the curb weight is 3,460 so by my calculations I can tow up to a total of 1,204. Do you agree with my calculations?
