Question:
My Prodigy RF has been sitting unused for several years. I just got it out far a trip I am taking pulling a trailer. When I plug the remote into the lighter receptacle it does not power on. no light or messages. I tested the lighter output and it is producing power. Does the Prodigy have its own power source that may have been damaged by not being charged? Is there a way to repair this unit or am I due for a new one. Is the controller available separately or do I need a complete new unit. Thanks

Hey Tom, so we do have a replacement remote for the Tekonsha RF unit part # TK94FR with the part # TK27FR but you might check to see if the fuse of the controller is bad. The fuse is in the plug that inserts into the power port on your vehicle so you would need to take it apart to get to it.
