Question:

Hi, I have a 2013 Suzuki Kizashi with a newly installed Curt trailer hitch less wiring, I have a complete wiring harness complete with controller however I do not have the 4 Simple plug ins for connecting into the cars tail lights 2 Drs side Yellow, and 2 Pass side green, do you have a pair of mini harnesses that I could buy in order to finish off the wiring vs buying your complete new wiring assembly P/N HM 11141254? Also, you P/N lists only for the 2011 model however my mechanic at Suzuki insists that the 2010 thru 2013 models are exactly the same, care to comment re compatibility? Lastly, are the Kizashi tail lights Wiring OHMN/Resistance sensitive should I elect to simply cut and solder in the trailer hitch wiring vs using the Simple plug Ins? Thank you

Hello Les, thanks for reaching out. Buying a complete wiring assembly like the Hopkins # HM11141254 will be your best option here. The plugs are not available by themselves.

That said, the # HM11141254 you mentioned is only listed for the 2010 and 2011 Suzuki Kizashi so there is no guarantee of this fitting the 2013 model. This fitment info comes directly from the manufacturer which indicates the 2012 and 2013 models do use a different plug.

What we recommend for the 2013 model is the Curt # C59236. This is a universal hardwire harness. It uses quick-splice connectors so tie into the vehicles wiring. This will be the best, safest option since there is no guarantee the # HM11141254 will work.

Hi Jesse thank you for the response. I do have the Curt C59236 assy but wasn't sure if I could safely cut into the 2013 Suzuki Kizashi factory wiring, I just watched the generic Curt wiring video and I am tempted to have a go at doing the installation, wish me luck.

@LeslieM Yea hardwiring a converter can be a little scary but it is completely safe as long as it is done right. Good luck!
