The numbers on the Hopkins Graduated RV Levels # HM08525 are just reference numbers and are not meant to indicate degrees or inches or feet. Basically it is a simple way to make sure the trailer is level on both sides. So if you are at 0 on one side and 2 on the other, in either direction, you know that one side is not level by 2. So you would want to get both to 2 or to 0 in that scenario.
