Hey Keith, thanks for reaching out!

The "5H" code you're seeing on the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 is also known as the "SH" code and it means you have a short somewhere. Since you can trace the code back to when you accidentally forgot to unplug the trailer, it means we know the cause must be somewhere near the plug on either your truck or trailer.

You can try connecting your truck to a different trailer and vice versa to see which side has the damaged plug, and then from there you're simply looking for any damaged wiring that needs to be replaced. This will fix your problem and allow you to fully use your brake controller again!

Hey Keith, did checking the plugs on your truck and trailer help clear the 5H code on your Tekonsha Primus IQ brake controller? Knowing what fixed it could really help others who run into the same short issue.
