Hey Eugene! The item # 74211 does not but I have something similar that does. It is the DeeZee Tailgate Assist Custom Tailgate-Lowering System for Pickup Trucks item # DZ43204. This system focuses on lowering your tailgate softly so it doesn't slam down as soon as you unlatch your tailgate. It does not help raise it.
The DeeZee item # DZ43204 is custom fit and specifically designed for the 2018 Ford F-150's without the power liftgate option.

Hi, I realize that the DeeZee item doesn’t help raise the tailgate, but does it offer some additional gas strut assistance when closing an already dampened tailgate? My tailgate already has a factory-built internal dampener, but it’s gotten heavier with the addition of a Mountain Hatch tailgate cover. It’d be nice to have even a little additional assistance when trying to close the tailgate. Thanks.
