Difference Between Super Cab and Crew Cab on Ford Trucks

Question:

for adam who answered my last ? about westin step bars. My truck is a 4 door crew cab. these bars are extremely short as I said before. you referenced they will not fit a super cab. What is the difference between super cab and crew cab. They both have 4 doors, I assume. How can I tell the difference.

A Super Cab is basically an extended cab truck, 4 doors but the rear ones are smaller and open backwards.

A Crew Cab has 4 full size doors that all open the same direction.

So is the Frame the same size for a Crewcab and a Supercab? Also is the Cab for a Crewcab Larger in the 1990s vs the Crewcab in the 2000s?

The Crew Cab (or SuperCrew) on the Ford truck would have a physically larger/longer frame than the SuperCab. I'm not quite sure how the modern cab styles differ from those in the 90s, but I would bet they are a bit larger. Take a look at the helpful article I linked below, which goes over this subject.
