Hello Anthony, thanks for reaching out. Your best option for this is an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System such as part # EQ37060ET. This will have the shortest shank (8" from hitch pin hole to adjustment pin hole) and the shortest adjustment hole to ball length.
In order to be sure you get the correct WD hitch, I will need to know the loaded tongue weight of your trailer. Since you are at 3,600 dry, the empty tongue weight is probably somewhere around 400-500 lbs, but I am just guessing here. The Equal-i-zer # EQ37060ET I mentioned is for trailers with a tongue weight between 200 and 600 lbs. Please verify that your loaded tongue weight will not exceed this rating. If your loaded tongue weight is more than 600 lbs just let me know the exact number and I will make sure you get the right WD hitch.
