Finding The Factory Wire Harness For A Brake Controller In A 2019 Nissan Pathfinder

Question:
I purchased a Tekonsha brake controller for my 2019 Nissan pathfinder. When I tried to install it, it appears there is something already installed on that plug. This: Nissan 28532-6RA0A CONTROLASSY-SONAR. Its almost impossible to see what is going on in there. I removed part of the dash panel and still cannot see exactly what is happening. If that part is actually connected to the plug I need for installation, what is my alternative? Do i just need to go ahead and hardwire it with the other harness? Thanks,

Hey Butch,
The factory wire harness is typically just taped to the other harness next to it. From the picture is looks like it might not be plugged into anything and is instead just held in place by the tape. Could you peel back the tape and see if that's the case? If so you should be able to plug the # 3050-P right into it. If not, let me know and we can keep troubleshooting. I'd also recommend checking out Brad's video below where he shows the location of the wiring harness to make sure you're actually grabbing onto the right harness.

Hey Butch, did you get a chance to peel back the tape and find the correct harness for your Tekonsha brake controller? Once you located it, did the plug-in adapter connect as expected? Your update could make it easier for others working on the same Pathfinder setup.
