Question:
Have a Honda pilot 2024, with factory rails. I went down two paths so far: Direct from Honda vs Thule website. I discovered etrailer.com in the process. Can you help confirm: Does Thule sell Honda pilot cross bars, I think the answer is no. Does that leave me only to get the Honda ones? Or Yakima? Always kind of liked the Thule branding/look I read on a different forum that the Honda branded cargo box is same is the previous Force products Not the XT and made by Thule since the keys still say Thule. An Article on etrailer stated the XT is a nice upgrade but can’t really find any comparisons to Force vs Force XT. I think the way it connects on the XT looks great, just not sure how the Force and/or current Honda offering connect. Curious if it’s a dramatic upgrade? Overall looking for best setup for Honda pilot 2024. It appears the OEM rails may be limited to 165lbs total, so may not want to get the biggest box. Also don’t want to limit trunk door if i go too big.

Hey Peter, so I checked with Thule and they do not have any roof racks that fit your 2024 Honda Pilot which is pretty odd but is the case. Thule does not make the Honda roof rack but the Yakima part # Y23NB that fits your vehicle is a really solid option. Thule is a really nice brand but Yakima is right up there in terms of quality so this would be a really great way to go.
So the Thule Force XT part # TH6358B is the current version of the box that was once just the Force. Every couple years Thule updates their lines and the XT is just the current version with a little nicer hardware all around and a slightly different finish. It would clamp around the Yakima crossbars easily.
