I camp in my Sundowner Charter SE but am worried someone who had the same key could get in during the night. Is there something I could put over the locking mechanism to keep it from opening when Im inside?

Not unless your locking mechanism already has something built in from the inside no. The only option I have for you is to install the Valterra Deadbolt Lock item # L32CS3208 on your door if you're that worried about it.
I don't know what door lock you have but the scenario you're worried about would be extremely difficult to pull off. Most of these door locks have over 100 different replacement keys. If there is a master key it's not available for public sale and is limited to lock smiths or the manufacturer's techs.
