Hey Tangen, thanks for reaching out!

While I don't have the details on your 1996 Nissan Atlas 150, I can say that brake controllers are fairly straightforward so you just need to make sure your truck has matching wiring functions and you can use a brake controller.

I recommend going with the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160 because it's a simple, yet effective controller that's backed by a lifetime warranty. You'll need to connect the following wires from the controller pigtail to the following functions on your truck in order to use the controller:

Blue - 7-Way Output to Trailer
Black - 12V Power
White - Ground
Red - COLD Side of Stop Light Switch (only gets hot when brake pedal is pressed)

You can use a circuit tester like # PTW2992 to test for these functions on the vehicle.

Hey Tangen, how did things go with wiring the Tekonsha Primus IQ on your Nissan Atlas 150? Were you able to match the wiring functions using the circuit tester? Your update could make it easier for others working with similar trucks.
