Question:
I read this is a class 1 hitch. I have a 2024 Honda Accord EV. I have 2- 73 lb bikes and will this hitch work with item HLY74FR Hollywood sport rider SE 1 1/4 hitch The rack says it has to be a class 2 hitch but this is the only one made for my car. Will the combination work?

Hello Don; the # HLY74FR will not work with the Draw-Tite # DT86PR since it is Class I. A Class I hitch is also the only option available for your Accord so you will need a different bike rack that is Class I compatible.
The only rack that comes close to holding 73 lb e-bikes is the Thule Epos Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # TH99XE. This can hold 75 lbs for 1 bike but only 140 lbs for 2 bikes which means you'll have to shave off a few lbs to keep it under capacity (pulling seats might do it otherwise you could pull a battery).
The weight of the carrier is 38 lbs so you won't be exceeding the 200 lb tongue weight capacity of the hitch once you add the bikes. Just make sure you aren't going over the max tongue weight for your vehicle. A folding ramp # TH43VA is also available if you would like to have it to make loading easier.
