Question:

Will the Reese M5 27K work for me? New 5th wheel has the Curt Rota Flex pin box and the truck is a 2022 RAM 3500 DRW long bed w\ factory prep. RV is 24K GVWR. Would the M5 32K be overkill? Thanks!

Hi Ted, yes the Reese M5 # RP37FR will work with your 2022 Ram 3500 with the factory prep package as well as the Curt Rota Flex pin box # LC176440. I also would say the 32K to be overkill, because you could get away with using the 27k # RP37FR. With this hitch you'd still have 3,000 lbs of capacity to play around with in case your RV is a bit heavier fully loaded.

Hey Ted, how did the Reese M5 27K end up working with your Ram and the Rota Flex pin box? It sounds like the extra capacity gave you a good margin for your RV’s weight. Your update could make it easier for others towing similar setups.

@RobinH Thanks for following up Robin! The M5 27K has worked wonderfully in all kinds of situations. We've been on the road full time for one year now and have been in high winds, steep grades, etc with no problems. Hitching is very easy with the M5's always ready to receive functionality and the green/red safety indicator. We did have to look around for the correct grease gun, seems like auto stores are your best bet.
