Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out. Our best option for a tonneau cover compatible ladder rack for the 2023 Toyota Tacoma short bed is the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A66ZR. This rack is compatible with most tonneau covers that mount inside the bed rails of the truck. Please take a look at the cover on your Tacoma and make sure it sits fully inside the bed rails. As long as the bed rails are left exposed, you can use the Adarac # A66ZR.
If the bed rails are covered, I am afraid we do not have any ladder rack options.
