Recommended Replacements For 13,500 Dometic ACs & Control Unit

Question:
I have an 07 Monco cayman xl, 34sbd. I am looking for a direct replacement for our 2 ac units. They are 13.5 BTU Duo-Therm ACs with heat pumps. Model 630035.331. Do I have to replace both at the same time or can I one at a time? I also want to replace the controller also. What would you recommend? What is the advantages for putting a soft start on the AC units?

Hi Joe,
Since you want to replace the control unit also you'll need to get a new AC system and thermostat, and for a complete 13,500 Btu system go with the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - 13,500 Btu - Black # FR35PV or White # FR95PV.
These are really efficient and another thing I like about them is the fact they come with a soft start built-in, so you don't have to get one separately. The advantages of that are it gives the AC a boost in power and then stores it which means you won't have to worry about them not having the juice to start up - they always will so you can keep cool in your Monaco.

Thank you for the information. You have recommended the furrion chill He. It was stated these are single zone ACs. Can they be switched to a dual zone system? I have a dual zone system now in my class A RV. Thank you.
