Question:
I just installed my Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller and it looks good. Is there a way to turn it off when not in use? My is always on with the truck turned off. Thanks, Joel

Hi Joel; the # 90195 only draws 3.6 milliamps when not in use so it won't drain your battery. Just like other things in your vehicle with a memory function a slight amount of power is required to maintain stored settings. My suggestion would be to unplug it from the back if you're worried about power draw. The only other option would be to add something like a solenoid # PK5231201 so power is tied to the ignition.

Hey Joel, how did things go with your Prodigy P3 after trying the unplug or solenoid option? Did either approach help with keeping it off when your truck is parked? Your update could make it easier for others with the same setup.
